Stepping Into a New Creative Season: Crafted Pear in 2026
The start of 2026 feels different — quieter, clearer, and more intentional. After a year of learning, experimenting, and expanding my creative vocabulary, I’m stepping into this new season with a renewed sense of direction. Crafted Pear is evolving, and so am I.
This year, my practice is shifting toward a deeper exploration of mixed‑media botanicals and surface pattern design. The threads have been there all along — the ink lines, the collage fragments, the textures gathered from my garden — but now they’re weaving into something more cohesive. A practice shaped by nature, materiality, and the gentle rituals of studio life.
I’m refining my focus, not narrowing it. Mixed media and pattern design feel like two sides of the same creative coin: one tactile and layered, the other rhythmic and intentional. Together, they allow me to explore how motifs, textures, and quiet stories can move between artworks, patterns, and collections.
This blog will follow that journey. A place for studio notes, pattern explorations, mixed‑media experiments, and the unfolding of a practice in motion. A space to document growth, share insights, and honour the small, nourishing moments that shape a creative life.
If you’re here at the beginning of this new chapter, thank you. I’m excited for what this year will bring — the textures, the stories, the patterns, and the quiet beauty waiting to be discovered.
